AS Roma DLS Kits and Logo The Italian football club were founded in 1927. They currently play at the Stadio Olimpico which is their home stadium. They are one of three teams from Rome, along with Lazio and S.S. Lazio, to share the stadium as their home grounds. The club have won three league titles, Roma in 1941–42 and 1942–43, as well as in 2000–01. They also won the Coppa Italia two times, back in 1968–69 and 1978–79. In the European competitions they have been runners-up once behind Liverpool FC in the 1983-84 European Cup Final. In their early years the club was known as Associazione Football Roma or Società Sportiva Roma but officially gained the AS Roma name in 1954 and S.S.Roma in 2005. The club have also gained the nicknames “I Giallorossi” which translates as “The Yellow and Reds,” “Gialle-Rosso” or just simply “Le Aquile (The Eagles).”
